ABC's “Extreme Home Makeover – Home Edition –How’d They Do That?” featured StarDomes on it’s behind the scenes episode of The Mackey Family

Granada Hills, CA. Numinus, LLC, a leader in embedded fiber optic starfields, announced today that the ABC television network’s “Extreme Home Makeover – Home Edition; How’d They Do That?” show hosted by Ty Pennington showcased StarDomes, Monday, February 1st 2005, at 8 PM, 7 Central time.

StarDomes are fiberglass ceiling dome with mapped out twinkling fiber optic stars, a hand painted airbrushed sky mural, and an indirect dimming cove light with hand held remote control sunrise/sunset.

The shows producers, Kris Smale, discovered StarDomes at a home show in Anaheim. With in two weeks Numinus was on the job installing one for the “Mackey Family” episode. The show’s designers used the StarDome as creative mood lighting over a spa tub. The designer commented on how when living in Los Angeles or New York, you really don’t get to look up and see the stars!

Lisa and Chris Isaacson of Numinus, LLC were delighted to provide and install the StarDome for the Mackey Family. On having a chance to have StarDomes showcased on national television, Lisa says, “The response from the show has been amazing. It was a fabulous opportunity for us to be associated with such a great program. It was exciting to part of this project for “Extreme Home Makeover – Home Edition.” We had the opportunity to contribute many hours of electrical work as well provide and install the StarDome. The entire construction project lasted only 5 ½ days, and went extremely smooth!” ”

“Extreme Home Makeover – Home Edition How’d They Do That?” is a special behind the scenes look at what really goes on during construction. Each episode highlights the episode which aired the previous night. The show provides intimate reflections from the cast of designers, as well as from contractor Matt Plaskoff. The design team involved in The Mackey Family Episode included team leader and carpenter Ty Pennington, Paul DiMeo (carpentry/nuts & bolts), Paige Hemmis (carpentry/creativity), Tracy Hutson (shopping/style), Michael Moloney (interiors/glamour), and Constance Ramos (building/planning).
